To be housed in the original three-story facility, health services will include:
· Facilities for a clinic equipped with small examining rooms
· Conference room
· Auditorium with movable seats; can double as lecture room for health services and a reception area
· Health and Social Services Information Library
Socials services will be offered in conjunction with health services. These services will be housed in the original three-story facility. Also included is a:
· Health and Social Services Information Library containing books, pamphlets, videos, etc., for use by parents and students.
· An African American Resource Library
Programs for parents will include:
· Effective Black Parenting Program—a fifteen session program
These programs will be conducted in conjunction with the Youth Services and will include:
· Violence Prevention Education
· Substance Abuse Prevention Education
Capital and Economic Development improvements and programs will be added in Phase III of the restoration project and will include:
· Day care for senior citizens
· Day care for early childhood
Youth programs include character building skills for living. This program will focus on:
· When Friends Mean Trouble
· Problem Solver and I Can Solve Problems
· Choose to Refuse
· Enhancing Social Skills and Self-Esteem
For Grades 6-12— in search of character to include:
· Trustworthiness
· Respect
· Responsibility
· Fairness
· Caring
· Citizenship
· Honesty
· Courage
· Diligence
· Integrity
Holy Rosary Institute Retreat Center has ample space available for use by community, including: youth and adult groups for civic, educational, spiritual, and social development; and business groups for retreats, growth, development seminars, conferences, meetings, and small conventions. This space includes:
· Auditorium with movable seats can double as lecture room.
· Conference rooms
· Kitchen area for large group meetings, food demonstrations, banquets, and receptions.
· Dining area which can double as exhibit area, meetings and seminars.
· Little Theater for presentations of plays and skits.
The second floor of the original facility will be utilized for Museum Exhibit space as well as spiritual.
This floor will include
· Chapel to be remodeled and brought back to its original state
· Museum exhibit will include
· History of Holy Rosary
· Mother Katherine Drexel
· First Director and Principal
· Mother Henriette Delille
· SVD Priests and Brothers who served Holy Rosary
